CSA

What is a CSA?

Purchasing a CSA or “Community Supported Agriculture” share is a way to support a local farm and receive weekly baskets of fresh produce. The share is purchased at the beginning of the season and the produce is distributed every Thursday afternoon from 3 – 7 PM.

Our CSA runs for 21 weeks, starting on June 2 and ending on October 28.

Benefits of a CSA

Small family farms face many challenges, including weather, pests, fuel/fertilizer prices, and competition with industrial agriculture. Receiving payment at the beginning of the season helps to offset our farm’s financial challenges and ensuring that our farm continues to grow and provide healthy produce for years to come!

As a CSA member you will receive the first pick of Sunny Vale’s fresh produce at lower-than-retail prices (See website for more details). You will also have exclusive access to our Pick-Your-Own crops, including flowers, cherry tomatoes, green beans, and more.

Engaging in the farm

All CSA members are encouraged to help with some of the farm work hours throughout the season. In this way you can learn how we grow our produce while connecting to the land and other community members.

Pick-Your-Own – Lots of fun for the family! some crops will be open for members to pick in the field. Harvesting tools and instructions will be provided.
